«Cyril and Methodius»

Monument to the brothers Cyril and Methodius in Moscow, located on Lubyanka passage, near the metro station «Kitai-Gorod».
The monument was opened on May 24, 1992 (on the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture). The sculptor of the monument is Vyacheslav Klykov, the architect is Yuri Grigoriev.
Cyril and Methodius are brothers from the city of Solun, the creators of the Old Slavonic alphabet and language, Christian preachers.
