Sgurgola (FR) tra realtà e fantasia, percorso storico alla scoperta di questo Borgo Ciociaro. Un piccolo paese che si affaccia sulla Valle del Sacco dominandola fino a Frosinone i cui abitanti hanno uno spirito indomito: Sgurgola. Le sue origini risalgono alle invasioni barbariche quando gli abitanti della valle cercarono rifugio sulle alture. Qui è stato scritto un pezzo di storia: nel 1300 a Sgurgola Bonifacio VIII si incontra con gli emissari del Re di Inghilterra per mediare i conflitti tra la Francia e la Scozia. Si dice che Bonifacio VIII avesse il suo medico curante proprio a Sgurgola. Un paese di combattenti. ‘Bellatrix’ è scritto nello stemma di Sgurgola che vuol dire “donna guerriera” a rappresentare la personalità di un popolo che lotta sempre per le proprie idee. Un paese dalla personalità forte, guerriera e combattiva, gente dal carattere indomito tanto che nell’Ottocento gli sgurgolani hanno addirittura creato una “piccola armata garibaldina” per andare a conquistare Roma. Sfortunatamente, arrivati a Valmontone tornano indietro perché scoprono che Garibaldi si era fermato a Teano e che aveva fatto un accordo con il re d’Italia! La région du lac Myvatn comprend plusieurs centres d'intérêt : La zone volcanique du Krafla, dernière zone d’activité autour du lac, le site de Dimmuborgir , spectaculaire champ de lave avec notamment les célèbres « châteaux de lave », et l’impressionnant site géothermique de Hverir , situé au Nord-Est du lac Mývatn et surplombé par le mont ocre Námafjall. Le H2S emplit l'air, on marche entre les solfatares, les marmites de boue, sur un sol ocre souffré. L'ascension du mont est rude dans ses premiers mètres et la respiration courte, mais la vue vaut la sueur dépensée. La descente côté sud est risquée, le chemin disparait au milieu des scories, on se prend à imiter le skieur pour rejoindre le bas. A éviter par temps de pluie.
