The biggest photography trade fair is happening 21 September - 26 September 2010 at Cologne, Germany - come be a part of it!

Oh, Asia. It’s a hodgepodge of colors and culture! What makes it so special? We know it’s a bit of a challenge to pinpoint how much it means to you, knowing that Asia is beautifully complex and diverse with its beliefs, tradition, and lifestyle!
With this special rumble you can proudly show us the excitement and allure that Asia brings to the world. Winners will get the chance to take home some Piggy points that can be used in the online Shop, as well as have their images exhibited in the grand Photokina exhibition! As you know, Photokina is a phenomenal trade fair relating to photography and the imaging industry. Help us showcase the wonders of analogue photography in its full glory at this grand show!
To increase your chances in winning, pinpoint your shots on the map using the geo-tagging function. And while you’re at it, help us expand our locations and identify as many places as possible by submitting to the LomoLocations!
How does this work?
Below you’ll find five categories. Enclosed in the brackets is the tag:
- Nature & Animals (nature)
- Cities & Architecture (city)
- People (people)
- Cuisine (food)
- Home & Living (home)
Upload and tag your photo/s according to category. For example, a picture of an Asian city would have the tag: “city”.
Please note that this isn’t limited to photos taken in Asia! So let’s say you’ve been to Chinatown in LA and have pictures to show off for it, you can submit those too. The key is to tag them appropriately, and use our geo-tagging feature to pinpoint your shots to the map!
- Prize(s) Per Category:
1st prize – 50 Piggies
2nd prize – 25 Piggies
3rd prize – 25 Piggies
Plus the chance of having your winning images displayed on the Photokina exhibit!
If any of your photos on our Photokina Rumbles make it into this year’s great wall, you will bag yourselves 5 Piggies each. (non-cumulative). Submit your very best shots – we will be choosing from hundreds of entries!
The winners will also receive a special award badge straight to their LomoHomes
- Film/Camera Type: Any analogue photo not digitally enhanced or manipulated
- Upload Limit: unlimited
- Minimum Photo Dimensions: Submissions must be at least 1200px in either width or height so we could put it up as hi-res photos on the LomoWall!
- Meta data must be completed (camera, film, location & 3 tags)
