  Angela Noel. I live in Redlands, California. I shoot with my Diana, Diana Mini, Horizon, Holga, Holga 35mm BC, LC-A+, Fisheye 2, Super Sampler, Action Sampler, Oktomat, and Action Sampler with flash. I also shoot Nikon when not using my Lomo cameras both digital and film. I have a D80, an N70 and an N80. I also shoot with a lot of cameras from 1930-1970. My grandfather owned a camera shop, so it's in the blood. I favor Fuji color films, both slide and negative. I also mainly use Kodak TRI-X 400 iso. 3200 iso T-MAX is also a favorite of mine. I'm a nice guy and I've got enough time, so I usually write back :) DEUTSCH: Ich bin unfähig, Texte zu schreiben, die mich gut beschreiben, aber um eines vorweg zu nehmen: Um mich zu kennen, muss man mich wirklich kennen. Das Internet mag die konventionelle zwischenmenschliche Kommunikation manchmal fördern, aber ersetzten wird es sie (hoffentlich) nie. Ich bin diese Sache, wie so vieles anderes auch, falsch angegangen. Ich wusste, dass ich mich nicht gut beschreiben kann, da ich meine Gedankengänge im Prinzip selbst nicht nachvollziehen kann, also dachte ich, mir einreden zu müssen, etwas zu sein, was ich nicht bin, oder Nur über meine manchmal verschrobene Sicht der Welt zu schreiben. Ich will ehrlich zu mir selbst sein. Viele Leute überschätzen sich, Ich habe mich immer schon Unterschätzt. Zweifellos eine schlechte Eigenschaft, aber bekannztlich ist Einsicht ja «der erste Schritt zur Besserung». Und mit Einsichten will ich beginnen. Ich bin nicht gerade der Gesprächigste Mensch und wirke auf viele schüchtern, aber wenn man mich erstmal kennt, merkt man, Dass ich eigentlich recht gesprächig bin und über jeden Blödsinn lache. Ich bin ein netter Mensch, aber es fällt mir manchmal schwer, Leute kennenzulernen. Der Grund dafür ist, dass ich Unfähig bin, mir Gefühle einzugestehen und wenn doch, bin ich nicht fähig, mit anderen darüber zu sprechen, oder es fällt mir recht schwer. Ich habe mir Gefühle abgewöhnt. Jetzt will ich sie wieder, aber es ist schwierig, sie sich wieder anzugewöhnen. Ich bin ein komplizierter Mensch, aber es ist einfach, mit mir klarzukommen. Ich bin Russophil, habe eine Vorliebe für die Russische Kultur, sowie die selten als Kultur bezeichnete Kultur der СССР (= Союз Советских Социалнистических Республик = UdSSR), da es in unseren Kulturkreisen doch etwas völlig fremdes ist. Trotzdem bin ich kein Kommunist. Wäre ich Russe, so wäre ich Patriot. PHOTOGRAPHIE: Meine größte Leidenschaft ist die Photographie. Richtig begonnen zu Photographieren habe ich, nachdem mein Großvater mir seine Rolleiflex Standard von 1932 geschenkt hat. Mittlerweile besitze ich (glaube ich) 13 Kameras, 2 davon Polaroid. Ich habe mich vollends von der Digitalphotograpie verabschiedet; ich photographiere nur mehr analog oder lomographiere mit meiner ЛОМО ЛЮБИТЕЛЬ 166+ (LOMO LUBITEL 166+) oder meiner geliebten Diana F+. Lomo- und Photographie sind für mich mehr als nur ein Zeitvertreib oder ein Hobby. Mittlerweile wurde es für mich zu einer Leidenschaft; einer Sucht.. Eine meiner zahlreichen Freizeitbeschäftigungen ist nachdenken und Musikhören, wobei ich sagen muss, dass es in jedem Genre Lieder gibt, die ich bevorzuge, als auch welche, die ich nicht mag. Alles hat gute und schlechte Seiten. Wie dem auch sei, meine bevorzugten Musikrichtungen sind Indie, Electronic, Drum 'n' Bass, und Klassik, wenngleich ich auch Musik aus anderen Genres höre und zum Beispiel nicht jede Form der Klassischen Musik mag. Die Menschen, die mir wichtig sind, wissen es, oder sollten es sich denken können, ich halte nichts davon, Listen meiner Freunde und Bekannen hier aufzuschreiben. Wie jeder andere Mensch auch, habe ich auch Abneigungen, zum Beispiel gegenüber Intoleranz, Rassismus, Pilzen oder Witzen, die nicht im entferntesten lustig sind. Was ich mag: den Geruch von Regen, Regen gegen die Fensterscheibe trommeln hören, In Wiesen liegen und den Himmel beobachten, Seifenblasen, Im Sommer von Regen völlig durchnässt werden, über verschiedenste Dinge nachdenken. Das war nur ein kurzer Überblick über mich und meine Denkweisen. Wäre mein Leben ein Kinofilm, so wäre dieser Text die Vorschau. Und was macht man, wenn man sich für einen Film interessiert? Richtig, man kauft sich Karten oder sieht ihn sich illegal im Internet an. Das gleiche geht mit meinem Leben. Nur gibt es keine Karten, Sondern Nachrichten und Kommentare, über die man Teil meines Lebens werden kann. Aber ich will niemandem Hoffnungen machen. Auch ein Kinofilm kann ausverkauft sein. Genauso lasse auch ich nicht jeden an meinem Leben teilhaben. Vielleicht habt ihr jetzt ein Bild vor Augen, wie ich bin, aber das heißt noch lange nicht, dass ihr mich kennt und einschätzen könnt.   I'am a lomographer from the first hour of this great motion. Bought my first LCA around 1990, when I'am tired of doing B&W-Art. As I'am not starting at the crawling stage, you can imagine, that in between my hair becomes white, but my hart is full of LOMO-colors &motions. First of all like my LCA, doing street photography with.. My first one died some month ago (sniff ,sniff), but as I travelled a lot in eastern europe in earlier times, found some machines as replacement. Holga is my first choice for MF, but in between have also become good friend with Diana and my collection of her clones, everyone has her special character. It's great, to try out and see the result. I use all the other different plastics for my experiments, as I like to try new things out, together with smena and all the other russian supermachines.
