The monument to Kozma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky, the leaders of the people's militia in 1612 a group of sculptures made of brass and copper, created by Ivan Martos, located in front of St. Basil's Cathedral on red square. This is one of the most famous monuments of Moscow, was established in 1818. The opening of the monument took place on 20 February in the presence of the Russian Emperor with the Empress and a large gathering of people.
