To get this effect, I cut up a roll of un-exposed film and placed it on my lightbox in various patterns before photographing it with my Canon A-1. Then I rewound the film and shot it as normal. The pieces of film on the lightbox created awesome silhouettes that soaked up the light when I reshot the film creating awesome multi-exposures.
