Thanks for the visit and likes. This palace was nearly completely destroyed by the Germans as they were pushed out of the area. What was left, they booby-trapped with explosives. It was surprising that the Soviet government had preserved it, and then devoted scarce resources to have it painstakingly restored. Today, everything can be photographed except for the breathtaking amber room.
