Disappointingly, we had to skirt Red Square by walking through GUM, the magnificent shopping arcade. Red Square was mostly blocked off with preparations for a big boxing match. GUM has world-famous brands such as Tiffany, Bulgari, Armani, Vuitton, and many more. They even have valet parking. Lenin, whose mausoleum is still across the square, should be turning over in his grave.
