Oh finally! The Royal Stepped Tank of Hampi. I first saw this clever piece of architecture in the movie "The Fall" and have been wanting to visit for a while.
So it was just my luck that bad weather cancelled all my flights in Northern India, sending me south to Kerala. A bout of Giardia (surprise!) then led me to a hospital in Ernakulam, where I met Mary from Germany. Thanks to her stories, I travelled north to visit the ruins of Hampi, where I finally came face to face with this masterpiece. Nowhere in the man-made world will you see the play of light so elemental and so elegant.
@magic_isolette Haha what a small world! I remember that scene well, they had lots of soldiers (?) walking in opposite directions up and down the steps. Visually stunning.
