First week in India. Disaster struck. Bad weather around Allahabad forced Spice Jet to cancel my flight. No rescheduling. No alternative arrangement. No hotel. No nothing.

"Normal" for New Delhi airport, apparently. But not for me. In the face of 3rd world customer service, I started acting like a local and they promised to fly me out of ND for free. But where to? A colleague once told me that Kerala is nice. So I pointed to the Southern tip of the subcontinent, not what to expect. And such a great great adventure it turned out to be!!
