VanDyke prints that I made a few years ago. They were part of a project that focused on Charles Darwin and the tree of life, but spiralled into a general nature theme. VanDykes and Cyanotypes are my favorite things to make, but I will need to wait until I move into a larger place before I do them again. I need a space where I can stain the floor and use noxious, poisonous chemicals.
I tried the Ars-Imago Monobath chemical that allows you to develop and fix the negatives with only one bath of 8 minutes. The principle is that the developper is kind of very strong and acts for a couple of minutes before the fixer takes it over, giving some strong contrasted pictures. I tested it with the JCH StreetPan which is already a very contrasted b&w film, and the result have really a strong b&w contrast and a very nice grainy texture, I really like it!
First Lutheran Church, multiple exposures with expired Konica 120 film. I upped the contrast and exposure on these pictures due to how dark they turned out. The color shift was odd, and I will chalk it up to the film being so old.
This is one of two roll from lomowalk with @adi_totp and @ekeupratama. Yess fun lomowalk! And when we found rooftop, mirror, and unused mannequin, everything got crazy. Jameesss!! hahaha
A departure from the normal black and white. I always like to see what interesting things I can do with disposable cameras. This set had a piece of blue packing tape over the lens that I colored blue with a sharpie. Then I took photos in *very* bright sunlight, with flash!
A more laborious project where I ran around town taking pictures of local murals with my Canon F1, and then double-exposing at sunset with the sun behind the buildlings. I wanted to show off some of my favorite Minneapolis murals in the area where I live.
New friends! Ralph und Florian. I was at Art Therapy supervision two weeks ago (I am a therapist, professionally) and our assignement was to create "mobile art." I commandered the art studio and some items found within it, and made a series of pictures with two lovely fellows I shall name Ralph und Florian. Shot on a Canon F1 with very expired film, indoors, after dark. All pictures taken on "bulb" mode, or 1/8.
First attempt shooting with Infrared Film. I used a Red 25 filter throughout. I don't think it was sunny enough for me to get that cool "IR effect" that a lot of people get, but I am happy with how the grain and tones of the film turned out. I followed Film Photography Project's instructions to shoot at f16 in bright light. I have a few more rolls, so I will get some practice in.
