I am not a hardcore revolutionary. But the activist in me has found inspiration in the lives of people who have unselfishly dedicated themselves for the greater good even to the point of dying for their cause. After seeing his face as a symbol of political activism through shirt prints, pins, flags and banners in my youthful years, I learned more about Che Guevarra when I bought and read through the pages of a biographical book on him. Che lived a multi-faceted life as an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, intellectual, guerrilla leader, diplomat and military theorist. Together with Fidel Castro, he played a major role in the Cuban revolution that shaped politics and military landscape in Latin America and consequently the rest of the world. I don't see myself holding guns to wage war and fight for what I believe is right. But through my humble peaceful ways, I am committed to be part of the solutions and not the problems of this world. This set is a tribute to Che and all activists. Textured and layered his images with maps of Metro Manila and street vignettes on my way to a project meeting. This is the first of two albums.
