I found this Zenit E made in the 70's in El Bazar de Javi, a second hand - junkyard with pretensions of being a vintage store located in A Coruña, in the San Andrés Street. Javi, the shopkeeper started to swank saying that the Zenit was brought by an old lady that said him it was a camera of her husband purchased in the 50's and blah-blah-blah...
Well, the serial number of this camera is: 75198526. It was a younger lady, you know.
The camera is the black coated model. And the camera and the lens, a Helios 44-2, are covered by all kind of marks and scratches. And the entired set so dirty as just arrived from a mine halfway to Hell, they seemed really an old scrap. But I tried to release the camera and the shutter sounded really O.K., the speed seemed accurated and the lightmeter was not dead, reacting properly to the light. Wow!
After not a log talk, you can imagine, I got the camera, the lens and the leather case for just 20 €. And inside the cam it was a film roll of the for me absolutely unknown mark Continent. A roll almost from the 90's or the late 80's.
And here you got the results. I really love this camera.
This film was developed by Fototecnia, my trusted lab in Square of Lugo, A Coruña.
