Ponte delle Guglie is one of 2 bridges in Venice to span the Cannaregio Canal. The 6 districts of Venice are symbolically represented by the 6 front teeth of iron gondola (the typical front decoration of these boats): the posterior tooth represents the Giudecca island; the S-shape duplicates the route of the Canal Grande; the small arc over the last bar reminds the Ponte di Rialto; the wide higher turn indicates both the St. Mark's Basin and the Corno Ducale (Doge's headdress). Altogehter they provide a stylized representation of the city.
