@rewd: I like the word "eclecticism" (although in the architecture, it has a slightly different meaning). Tomsk is an interesting mix of styles: the center of the city is built up in the classicisme style, but here and there are new modern buildings (mostly ugly, if I have to say honest); but if you'll pass hundreds of meters deep into the neighborhood - here's monuments of wooden architecture. Amd, of course, boring strict apartment buildings of the Soviet era. I prefer not to photograph them :)
