  • Shooting in MONO !

    2011-10-01 i_am_four-eyes がシェア

Black and white pictures are great ... just love the grainy texture and I love the subtlety of tones that black and white images can have. The mood you can create, the subtleness, the shadows... I love shooting in MONO ! : ) However, I'm just a newbie to B&W ... So, I simply keep on practising and trying to find the objects by randomly things that I'm interested in such as poster, window display and etc.

I could write an entire book about this bike, it has a huge amount of baggage attached to it. Which is probably why I cut it in half with an angle grinder, wraped it in a blanket, then drove it to the tip.

  • Scenery around the western parts of Yemen

    2012-04-04 buckshot がシェア

Shots from a photographic trip I took in 1997 to the glorious, rarely visited, oft-maligned and massively underrated ancient land of Yemen - one of only a few countries in the world continuously populated since at least 2,500 BC, whose capital - Sana'a - is named after the biblical Noah's son, Shem. Despite its reputation for war, kidnapping of foreign tourists and, more recently, breeding terrorists, this is truly a magnificent country that abounds in history, culture, uniquely beautiful architecture and stunning landscapes — as well as some of the most fantastically generous and hospitable people I've ever met. It's also one of the most exciting places in the world to roam around with a camera, and I hope these shots give you some flavour of the wonders that await you should you ever get the opportunity to travel there.

As I spent more time with her, my love for her grew, matched only by her apathy for me. But I didn't care, she was special and she made me feel special. She was popular in a way I could never have imagined. Just walking on grass felt like being on the red carpet and people came to my home day and night. I flattered myself it was me that drew them but I knew deep down they only sought a glimpse of her. She imbued even the most mundane with a surreal beauty and I envied her...envied her and loved her.

Polaroid Super Shooter Plus - Instant Gratification!

If you thought Polaroid was dead, think again. The Polaroid Super Shooter Plus is a fantastic camera. It's one of several in a series of "rigid body" Polaroids that take instant peel-apart pack film.

Test roll of homemade redscale800 for 120. Originally Kodak Portra800. Little bit under-exposed than I expected. Not so different from Lomography Redscale 50-200. Color saturation and contrast are rich enough. Will test again.
