In December 2019, my duties took me to Entebbe in Uganda. As I learnt before the trip, one of our crew was collecting donations for an orphanage in the city. So I went over my closet and asked my friends too whether they had anything to donate. And so I went, with a suitcase full of clothing for abandoned children. As we entered the premises the number of children surprised me - we were told there would be around 20 but it looked more like 50. This I learned was due to the timing of our visit - orphanages get an influx of children just before Christmas! After we gave our donations the children performed a group dance that they had rehearsed and we had time to talk and play with them. They all looked so happy and cheerful, despite their rather unfortunate predicament. I was leaving with mixed feelings - uplifted by their cheerfullness and innocence but saddened by the fact that their parents had left them behind. These are my favorite shots from a roll of Ilford HP5 shot with an Olympus Om4Ti.

Pindul Cave is a tourist attraction in the form of a cave located in Bejiharjo Village, Karangmojo District, Gunungkidul Regency. Pindul Cave is known for its way through caves done by riding floating tubes over underground streams in caves, this activity is known as cave tubing. An underground river flows from the mouth of the cave to the end of the cave. Inside the cave, there is a narrow section that can only be passed by one tube, so tourists usually take turns one by one to pass through this section. Exploring pindul cave takes about an hour which ends in the dam. The river flow in Pindul Cave comes from gedong tujuh spring. Pindul Cave attraction was inaugurated on October 10, 2010
