Something strange happened here. I cross processed rollei CR 200 at home and ended up with these weird B&W images. Anybody have any ideas what may have happened?

It looks like the emulsion reticulated, as if the developer was too hot. Interesting.

@rreeder reticulated? What does that mean in this context?

Reticulated means to develop little cracks, like a dry muddy river bottom. When the film is being developed in developer that is too hot, the film emulsion can blister & crack, resulting in something similar to the photos here. I'm not saying that hot developer is the culprit, but that it might be. Did the Rollei CR 200 ever do this in the past for you? I'm not familiar with the term 'cross processed'. What does that mean?

@rreeder This is the first time I've used this film so I'm not familiar with it at all. And only the second time I've processed my own film so I am still learning. Cross-processed means processing film in chemicals different to what it was intended for. In this case I processed E-6 slide film in C-41 CN chemicals. This usually results in unpredictable colour shifts, super saturation and strong contrast. It does not usually result in B&W images from colour film though. As some other users have pointed out the lab may have scanned the negatives as if they were B&W. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
