Petzval Lomographer of the Week: sikakuipanda
2 11 Share TweetOur featured lomographer, sikakuipanda, from Japan demonstrates a firm grasp of the New Petzval 85 lens’ versatility.
With its signature swirly bokeh and crisp focus, New Petzval 85 lens makes an ideal portrait lens if you want to make your subject the center of attention. Not oblivious to this fact, lomographer sikakuipanda experimented with textured backgrounds and the special aperture plates to make the most out of his Petzval lens.
However, he goes beyond portrait photography by taking the Petzval lens to the streets. Instead of zooming in on a particular subject, he showcased the pulsating vibe of the city and aimed on its blinding lights, crowded alleys, and fast-paced movement.
He also trained the lens on nature, bringing out the vibrant colors and intricate details of animals and plants with his accurate focusing.
His mastery of the Petzval Lens is evident in this noteworthy collection of macro shots. He plays with depth of field with such ease, adding dynamics to these photographs.
For his creativity and talent, we crown sikakuipanda as our Petzval Lomographer of the Week! Congratulations!
