A clear and cold morning starting off the year.
When there's only 7-1/2 hours of daylight, the low angled morning light doesn't last long. When I noticed the beautiful glow streaming through the leafless lilac bush, I grabbed my shoes and jacket and hurried to the backyard. This is my favorite shot from the first morning of the year.
