We were not allowed to go out of our hotel at night. We were not allowed to have NK money. We were not allowed to interact with local North Koreans.
Meaning, I was not supposed to wander around Pyongyang, find a night market, exchange real money, buy food, eat like a local and take this picture.
(My Fuji Classica Natura failed me when I needed it most)

@robertofiuza thank you!
whaaat? you escaped and ran around Pyongyang alone? Where you not worried?
@jourdanlynch Oh we had someone with a video camera following and spying on us wherever we went... I guess he made it safer for us? lol
I don't know man... if it was me there I would be doing as I am told haha... I am sure NK could make me disappear easier than I would like to think about haha.
@jourdanlynch hehe this is where my Chinese face came useful... it was very clear, from the moment they took us to a brand new casino (with Chinese-speaking staff) in the basement of our foreigners' hotel, that they really want Chinese money, meaning they don't want problems with Chinese-looking tourists :-P
Oh I see what you mean, very interesting though... I don't think I would of gotten away with it as well as you did haha, I am very much European looking haha.
You are very lucky though! I cant imagine even visiting NK never mind running around freely! that was a great opportunity!
wow, you guys did escape from the hotel! how did you feel as a "free" tourist??
@foto_ho Thanks for all the likes! It was strange, because we halfway through, I realised that somebody secretly followed and filmed us!
@ihave2pillows what a creepy experience!!! u must have totally understood the typical NK life under surveillance!!! i wish i was brave enough to sneak out too!
@foto_ho we had a big group... Safety by numbers!
