Ancient Roman gold mines

so to plan our epic road trip it took me 3 papers map, ipad and iphone. I would follow the road on the map and then google everything on my ipod and then use my iphone for the booking.com to find an accommodation.
When I first saw pictures of Las Medulas I thought it was just some interestingly looking orange mountain. But then I learned that it was actually ancient Roman gold mines.
It was one of our last stops on this journey and I loved it.
