Piper

In 2013, I went to the Lomography Store in the Wicker Park neighborhood during what was the darkest time in my life. The manager Piper invited me to a workshop on Valentine's Day for the LC-A and it was the beginning of a beautiful change of events in my life. Over time, I became friends with the staff and learned so much about the art of analog photography (I also spent almost all my checks buying film and cameras in the store). Piper allowed me to display my art at the stores 1st anniversary party and sold my photo magnets for over a year. Piper became the owner of the store a little over a year ago and I am in awe of her being so bold to take such a huge leap of faith. The store closed last month, and it's the end of an era, but I am so proud of Piper and am so grateful that I know her. I'm excited to see (and support) what she does next. Piper, thank you for the gift of analog photography and for being the reason I met incredible Lomo lovers who I cherish (Rachel, Azuree, Steven, Heather, Alex and Aaron)!
