I originally bought my Olympus Trip 35 for my son who was peacekeeping with NZ Army in Timor Leste . The Army said no batteries in freight. He hardly used it, so I took it back. Loved it, bought two more for my twin grandchildren(Olympus Twin Trippers) they promptly went digital & kept them as mementoes
@lomodesbro I just bought mine, after going crazy (as you know!) while in buenos Aires, with all the 35mm cameras' failures. I did a little research and saw the rec on the Old Trip, no batteries, all mechanical, perfect! I am enchanted with it! Glad you have so many of them!
