A friend recently gifted me with an Ansco Pioneer which was manufactured in the US between 1947 and 1953. This camera takes 616 film, with a 2.5 x 4.25 inch image size. The film plane is curved to better match the single element lens. The only shutter speed is approximately 1/50 second and fixed aperature is F/14. Since the kit included two 616 spools, I was able to respool a roll of Arista Edu 100 and take the camera out for a test drive. Stand processed in Blazinal 1+100 for 1 hour. Film advance is a bit off and there are some light leaks, but interesting results.
