@ces1um Thank you. It was one of those totally uninspiring days where the sky was just one tone of grey. I came across these teasel's and thought they would make a good silhouette so I metered for the sky which totally under exposed the plants. It was a colour film, Fuji c200, but the resultant negative already looked black and white.
I scanned the negative and loaded to Lightroom where I converted it to true black and white. It was then just a case of adjusting the contrast, highlights, shadows and blacks to remove what little detail there was.
