Dmitrov. Fountain «Waiting»: Like many other new attractions of the city, this fountain was designed by A.I. Rukavishnikov on designed by the architect of the city of Dmitrov, R.V. Narskogo. Along the perimeter of the fountain are sculptures of a frog Princess. Each frog holds the arrow shot by the Prince, waiting for a visit from her betrothed. Additional meaning fountain imparts that in a swampy area on which the city has long were many frogs, because of what dmitrovchan jokingly called «frog shepherds». Vladimir Dal even included in the book, «Proverbs of the Russian people»: saying «Dmitrov Frogbit». Writer Ivan Sakharov wrote in his «Tales of the Russian people»: «Marshes surrounding Dmitrov, always full of frogs. Passers-by and visitors were stunned constantly croaking».
