These pictures were taken in west Oakland, California last summer. We were going to see My Bloody Valentine just almost exactly a year later than we had seen the Jesus and Mary Chain at the same venue (The Fox Theatre). The Valentine's damn near broke the building down. Guess that's what happens when you see the loudest band earth. My wife and I have always made a point of seeing them whenever they came to the Bay Area. Very special event for me, and their best performance I've seen yet. :)
