A nice intensive walk(12km) this May from Villa Battenberg to the ruins of the castle Tannenberg. The view from there shows the valley of the Rhine and in perfect whether conditions the Rhine (about 15km as the bird flies) can be seen as a silvery and shiny band. On this day there was slight haze though. As it was also a warm and nice day the ruins were crowded so that I left the place quickly to walk back to reward me with a good cappuccino and a cake at the cafe of Villa Battenberg.
