This isn't a pretty shot. I spent the last couple of days trying to run cable from my utility room/laundry room to the inside of a wall on the main floor of my house. We swapped our 'living room' and our 'dining room' a while back, and in order to get cable TV reception in the new 'living room' we've been enduring the fact that it requires an annoying cable to be strung throughout the main floor of our house - from the dining room, across the hall and along the floor of the living room to the TV. Today I decided to find a way to get the cable to run through the floor joists, out of sight, and up into the wall in the living room, and out of a lovely cable jack. Sounds perfect right? It simply required cutting a 1 foot by 4 foot hole in the ceiling of the spare room in the basement, another hole in the wall in the same room, and fishing the cable through a variety of walls, and wall cavities. Fun times. I scraped a few knuckles, but it turned out alright. At one point I actually put my fist through the ceiling drywall just to impress my son. He thinks I'm super awesome now. :)
