Test images from a John Wrench 7 inch Petzval lens, built circa 1890 for use in a magic lantern, attached to a Speed Graphic. The scene was Lilleshall Abbey, a ruin in Shropshire, UK. The lens only just covers 5x4, and the field curvature is quite dramatic, but the overall effect is quite surreal.
