Last series of photos for the Nara album. As I said, the main attractions here are the deers, and the Daibutsu-den, the great Buddha inside the Todai-ji temple. As far as I'm concerned, seeing animals wandering around and begging tourists for food, I didn't find it "kawaii". I rather felt embarrassed... fortunately there wasn't just that to see, Todai-ji is truly grand.

As in all highly developed industrial nations, you will find urban decadence, completely disfigured built-up scenery and animals being fed in parks like asylum seekers. But there are also small treasures that have survived from ancient times. I like these tiny little houses! A great foto of documentation before it will vanish...

@lomo-elysion It is a shinto shrine, this is quite common even in the most modern neighborhoods. I saw one on the roof of "Ginza Six", the most hyped department store in the Ginza district... it's one of the things I like about Japan, in appearance it's very organized but there are always unexpected things in the corners of the city. A cosy coffee stand on a parking, or a police station in a middle of a cemetery, or an art gallery in the hall of a railway station? You will find it in Tokyo...
