Self Portrait: Pink and Blue

This photo was shot with a pinhole camera I sewed completely out of felt, embroidery thread and satin (No metal or plastic was used). These photos were inspired by my dissociation and dreams. All the photos in this series are self portraits as they are focused around my dreams, concept of self and mental health. I was also very inspired by Mary Cassatt and how she would interpret light and color in her paintings. I was also very inspired by my favorite movie The Science of Sleep where a man has difficulty telling his dreams from reality. In that film during dream sequences objects made out of fabric in his dream world could actually function as if they were made from real materials.
