Great Lomo shot Anttihoo! You managed to get quite a good compositional element to the subject placement and the negative space in the sky! The fact that everyone is faceless gives this shot a very mysterious vibe that is intriguing to explore as a concept (to me at least). Another interesting effect I am noticing in this shot is that the tilt of the frame gives the impression of forward motion somehow, like you are following the person in front of you. I am going to try a few shots with this in mind next time I shoot in the street. Great Work here, and I also like you other images quite a bit as well!
@gnarfobian Thanks for the detailed analysis! I wish I could say it was all intentional... But yes, I was actually following the people in the photo and took the shot without stopping. I was focusing on their movement, trying to capture a good, long stride to emphasise the sense of motion – and you're right, the slight (unintentional) tilt does actually work in its favour.
The mysterious vibe of faceless subjects is an interesting idea. I've never thought of it that way – but now I do. Thanks!
Ah, things don't have to be intentional to be well done! Something in you saw a reason to take this photo, and your intuition made decisions that made for a great image. And you are welcome! :D
