Let's all go to the Zoo :D

A zoo is a zoo, right? Well even if it is, I never miss a chance to go to one. There is something about walking around with the one you love and looking at all the cool animals and just brings out the kid in me. And ya know, there are not too many places left that a grown, bearded man can act like a kid and get away with it.

The Columbus Zoo is located a little ways out of the downtown area in the quaint little suburb of Dublin, Ohio. Home to such places as Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams as well as a new Mellow Mushroom Pizzeria. Whatever you do, do not miss these places, they are amazing and you will kick yourself. lol (links will follow). But back to the zoo.

More than just being a depository of indigenous and exotic animals, the Columbus Zoo goes to great lengths to get the message out about conservation and protecting wildlife both here and abroad. The make the all too true point that we are the stewards of this planet and we need to watch over it. As lomographers and lovers of the beauty all around us, we can all understand this.

So if you get a chance, come check out what the Columbus Zoo has to offer, you’ll be glad you did.
