Every Saturday at noon (weather permitting), the Bermuda Historical Society puts on a re-enactment that shows how such wenches (gossips and nags) were punished in earlier days. A wench would be made to sit on a dunking stool and dunked several times into the waters of St. Georges' Harbor.
