"Be that word our sign in parting, bird or fiend," I shrieked, upstarting-
"Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken!-quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
@holgardo my mum used to let me choose any book I wanted. When I was 6, I chose Poe because the cover was red with a tree and raven silhouette! I still love and have the book.
Oh! @grindhousegirl you make me remember the first novel that my dad read me when I was that age: The Hobbit. I'm not sure where is that book today, maybe lost in my mother's house. But I can clearly remember the book, the image on the cover, even the editorial. Normally I'm not attached to objects ( not even books that I love) but finding that particular edition for my shelf would be beautiful.
