    Are those grinding holes in the rock for corn or grain?

    @neufotomacher This is at the summit of Old Rag Mountain in Virginia. I'm not quite sure, but my guess is these holes are formed from erosion, being a limestone deposit within the harder surrounding rock. Dont quote me on this- i gotta look it up :)

    @tmills1520 Probably the best one I have been on!
    My close second is the Billy Goat Trail at the VA/MD border on the Potomac. Have you been there?

    I was imagining a rock like granite. I know in California the ancient peoples here ground holes in the rocks for grinding acorns and other grains.
