Eid ul-Fitr, Eid al-Fitr, Id-ul-Fitr, or Id al-Fitr (Arabic: عيد الفطر ‘Īdu l-Fiṭr), often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting (sawm). Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity," while Fiṭr means "breaking the fast". The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. The first day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month Shawwal.
Eid-ul-Fitr has a particular salah (Islamic prayer) consisting of two raka'ah (units) and generally offered in an open field or large hall called an Eed-gah.[1] It may only be performed in congregation (Jama’at) and has an additional extra six Takbirs (raising of the hands to the ears while saying Allah-u-Akbar [God is Great]), three of them in the beginning of the first raka'ah and three of them just before ruku' in the second raka'ah in the Hanafi school.[2] This Eid ul-Fitr salah is, depending on which juristic opinion is followed, Fard (obligatory), Mustahabb (strongly recommended, just short of obligatory) or mandoob (preferable).[1]
Muslims are commanded by God in the Qur'an to complete their fast until the last day of Ramadan[3] and pay the Zakat al-fitr before doing the Eid prayer.
I pulled the LC-A+ RL setting to 400ISO, because it was sunny but the result came out a bit under. - This film remind and reduce the sense of missed about old XPRO 100 that came out blueish when you crossprocess it. Love it!
These one's are based on Edgar Allan Poe's creepy short story, Life in Death.
I scanned a doodle I had done on the bus a few months ago on a rainy day. I then projected it onto myself and I danced in it's shadows.
I'm impressed with the CN 400 120 from LSI, the colors in this came out quite nice. And the pinhole feature of the Diana+ is so handy with all those streams around . . .

..tried a yellow filter combined with a pol-filter... very strong colors when overexposed, more natural and a dark sky when underexposed and pol-filter turned on the right position ;o).. selfdeveloped in tetanal c41..

The 1st roll of Aerochrome III, shot @ ISO 160, deep orange filter, at Deukmejian Wilderness Park, cross processed C-41. Not entirely successful and scan @ Samy's not entirely good. The people are John, Harvey, Irene, Drew, and Ethan.

A jolly camping weekend with friends and my family in Ulrome and Bridlington. I set the ISO on my LC-A to 25 for most shots, other than those where I wanted more depth of field or a more red redscale effect.
Could be a poster alluding to unhappy husbands or maybe, unhappy people in general. Amazing how photography lets us play with the subjects, and more than that, portray emotions and project meanings, set in a small frame for public consumption. (potd 24.10.11)
