In the South of England there is a nice and easy hiking path called the North Downs Way, 153 miles lead you through peaceful countryside between Farnham, Surry and the ports or Dover in Kent. I've recently walked along short bits of it for a couple of hours together with a friend. If you like to see small British villages, smooth hills, fields, meadows, valleys, and nice views of the South coast you should check it out.
