For these, I picked assorted color stobe modes, rainbow mode etc and let the light run all magic mushroom style while I shot each shot. Since it was dark and I was using the slowest camera speed, I just aimed the Kick light and followed the approx location of the lens opening in each shot to get that wierd trippy banding and coloring in each shot.
That Rift Labs Kick is the head trip machine! You should try to take these shots in the dark and get that damn thing flashing and strobing at you. The resulting image feels like the headtrip I had when taking the shots.
I also found that if I slowed down or sped up the light cycling, I got different widths of color bands. I have other ideas I want to try with it and the 202 next. Fun stuff. :D
