Como, 9 Dicembre 2017. La manifestazione contro gli episodi di razzismo e squadrismo organizzata ai giardini pubblici di Como ripresa con la mia Zorki 1 su cui ho montato lo splendido grandangolare Russar 20+. Ho scattato d'istinto questa serie di 31 foto, partendo dall'evento in riva al lago sino al termine della manifestazione con il rientro verso casa dei partecipanti. Un mio piccolo contributo contro l'allarmante crescita esponenziale dei movimenti neonazisti e neofascisti, spesso mascherati da un'ipocrita e falso localismo. Quest'album sarà uno dei miei ultimi in cui ritraggio persone, che spariranno a tempo indefinito dalle mie foto (ad eccezione di serie "oggettive" come "Cento Volte in Piazza Volta" e "From the Hip" dove non sono e non voglio essere coinvolto emotivamente ed empaticamente dai soggetti presenti). Il motivo di questa mia scelta sarà illustrato strada facendo.

"Playgrounds" is a new series dedicated to the urban study of the Italian urban landscape, starting from my city Como and extending slowly my research towards the neighboring towns and occasionally also outside the province. I invite you to observe especially the background, the surrounding urban environment. There are no people, there are no children in this series. The absence of people symbolizes a city that has lost the desire to play, where even a snowfall is considered as an obstacle to the frenetic work rhythms rather than as a moment of joy and an opportunity to play for the children.
