A trip to Hadley wouldn't be complete without a quick visit to Cook Farm for their fabulous ice cream. The Cook family has a little dairy store and they make the best ice cream in the area. All the flavors are good but my favorite is the ginger which has plenty of ginger flavor and chunks of crystalline ginger in it. Yum!...so I always take my ice cream and go over to the adjacent feedlot to watch the cows eat and take some pictures. Yesterday I had the Sprocket Rocket with me and I was happily snapping away in between licks of my cone. I was almost done eating the cone, had maybe two bites left and was trying to peel the rest of the paper wrapper off the bottom. At the same time I was about to take a shot and was not paying too much attention. I knelt down to get a better view of the cow and suddenly felt the cone end slip from my grasp. I looked up to see this little barred rock hen running away with my ice cream cone! It was absolutely hilarious. :)
