@boxerclaus I like how you formatted this and then the landscape just accentuates all of those horizontal lines - the quay, the shore, the clouds, they all come together. Excellent use of B&W, I don't think it would come out the same in color. Nice!

@mike1allison I almost always crop my images, if I can see they will improve. The original image had som not interesting sky at the top and so with the water in front. Both stipes are cut away. I added contrast (always scan flat with the curve going from black to white and then I ad contrast, maybe sharpness. Sometimes as local ajustments). I do not have a darkroom at home, so I can develop my films and then I scan them or use a bellow and take digital photos of them. I use primarely faststone as editor for B/W, but if I need local ajustments also Capture1 or ACDsee. Dust removal always faststone and first when I have an jpg image. Thanks for your comment and that you like the end result. Agree, it would be another image in colors. It would not be comparable just another image. I can see that you experiment a lot with the same images. Is it digital post or is it scans of paper copies? I like many of your photos to and sometimes it is hard to decide one over another with the same shot but different treatment.

@BOXERCLAUS most everything now is scanned film. Like you, I don't print right now, haven't for a while. I barely have enough time to shoot and develop and scan! I think the digital editing process is as fun as creating prints, it isn't necessarily faster, since I do spend a lot of time messing with various aspects of the pictures. I like different versions for different reasons. I have a couple of stock shots I take to test film and developers. I don't post most of them these days because they are boring except for the details. Thanks, keep up the great work!
