About two weeks ago I gave a film to the lab. Only to learn that the developing machine needs attention and there was a delay to be expected. As it turned out, there must have been a lot of truth in it. Anyway, today I went to the lab and the pictures were ready. The lady who normally works there is on holiday, so another girl announced that there would be no charge at all. Well, one can clearly see why :) But strangely I am not even upset. Rather taken back to the 1980's when we had forgotten about a film being put to the lab and got it back just before the next annual holiday would come up. Quality then was a guess. This is what happened here. I do not want to spent as an analogue photographer with results like this for good but in the end, analogue photography lives from trial and error and I am pleased that the pictures are good enough to be seen as photographic images rather than blobs of colour.
