Unwelcome

This was a resort that looked abandoned. Many of the structures had been damaged by a violent storm and were left in disrepair. There were stairs leading to the bottom of a cove where the water was almost still. It was silent and undisturbed... and it seemed to want to remain that way.
There was something heavy in the air, like the moist ground had heaved its last breath and that breath lingered. We left not long after I took these photos.
